So the DJ calls your name and you're next to perform at your local artist hot spot. You get to the stage and you tell the DJ to "Spin dat Sh*t."! Great job you're ready to perform for the audience. Who is the audience? Where are they from? Did they come to have a good time? How many artist are there performing tonight? Did you come with your team? Audience engaement is important to getting new fans in a venue like this. The more turntup you are the more likely you are to having a blazing performance and getting the people in the building to want to be a part of your movement. So, before you start to perform introduce yourself and findout who is in the building it's O.K. to asks questions! Great job you got the audience involved with your performance you're moving through your set and the crowd is feeling you. You noticed some people nodding their heads, ladies dancing and people recording you on their social media. Stay lit and give your performance the best you can because you never know who my get a hold of your performance. Make mental notes or if you have a crew with you make sure they make those notes for you of who's participating with you. Once you finish performing for the crowd give the DJ a shout and the venue and ask the crowd to tip the severs of the building. To show some love! Now it's time for you to show some love! Make sure you have promotional material with you and as you walk off the stage start to engage with those there in the venue passing out promotional items, taking pictures, exchanging business cards, following each other on social media and connecting with you're new fans.
