Since 2011, they have been creating music ranging from twangy, heartbreak-themed folk Americana, to soothing, introspective, violin-infused Latin rock. Originally from Managua, Nicaragua, Lacayo identifies herself as both American and Nicaraguan and her music reflects this identity as a melding of Latino and American genres. Gowri K. is a Tamil American poet, performing artist, teaching artist, and lawyer whose parents immigrated from Sri Lanka.
