Come out and support the local talented artist. Each and every Sunday if you can't make it out tune in on EverythingDMV Radio:Active Station.voscast.com/52ee84bcde775 or click on the radio link below See you there or here me there! Spoken World Poetry WordzSpeaksI would like to start this off by saying my my my mymymy my the show was so good and right! I was so happy that I had the opportunity to come and indulge in this literary feast. The environment was amazing! It was my first time entering the establishment namedCheerz Sports Grill. If you are the home town hero type of person with your sports team then you are definitely going to feel at home entering into this classy establishment. Interior and exterior is very well keep and I'm a little upset at myself for just finding out about Cheerz Sports Grill at 7303 Georgia Avenue Washington, DC 20012. MJG Speaks what a wonderful host along with Twist N Wordz (WordzSpeaks) put together a wonderful lineup of talent that excited and aroused my entire being. Spiritually, Mentally and Physically my cravings had ceased by the end of the night and I felt whole (one with the universe). The talented individuals that got up to speak, spoke to me directly. I can't remember everyone's name but just to name a few Still Ryzen, Sheabutterfly Jamison, Girl Genius, Soultoucha Da Poet, Melinda Moses, Mr Speaker, Ill MC and Kim Miller all have me excited to come back for more. I have a huge feeling of accomplishment by being able to to have this fate on getting these words out into our community. I know it's going to touch somebody and encourage somebody and spark the fire in some minds and hearts to get up, get out and get going with life. THANKS! I would like to thank everyone who tune in last night. I would have to say that BloomBars is one of the best open mics I've been to thus far. This organization is doing a lot of good work in the community. The photo gallery was an amazing journey through the eyes of local students who are all making a way for their future and I would say that there is no better place to do it with other than BloomBars.
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Cash J with a performance of a number of her hit songs. I definitely felt the love in the building and the appreciation for the artist. I also had the chance to meet a Grammy nominated artist Christylez Bacon with Progressive Hip Hop. I meet a number of other local artist that I enjoyed hearing their artistry. BloomBars is not something you can easily describe. Some have called it an artist and non-profit incubator, performance space, art gallery, theater, dance studio, screening room, youth academy, and center for health, wellness, and community engagement-They were all correct. Both innovative and old-school wisdom, BloomBars is turning a concept to unite communities through the arts into a model for energizing and inspiring communities to strive for personal and collective progress. Established in 2008 in Washington, DC’s burgeoning Columbia Heights neighborhood, BloomBars is driven by a volunteer team of artists, educators, and community and business leaders. Redefining the perception of a bar, BloomBars does not serve or allow alcohol on its premises fostering a safe and family-friendly environment. I look forward to being there every Sunday, so tune in or stop by: 3222 11th St. N.W.
