Are staged in DC, MD and VA and cater for Amateur to Professional Artist and Talent. There are Showcases for all ages, styles, genres and standards. We will endeavor to host showcases on all types of talent for any standard of singer plus band showcases, comedy, poetry and battle of the bands etc., that you may find of interest. The majority of singing and talent showcases listed will be in the DMV and not open to national or International applicants. We will supply links to enter the showcases in the DMV Area that will be available soon, however this is a huge job in itself- Thanks!
DMV Talent Elite Showcase: Whether you are a singer comedian, poet, band or a rapper and you have the talent, apply now to audition for DMV Talent Elite Showcase. If successful, you will be invited along to perform a live audition. You will be showcasing your skills to industry judges, including the chance to perform live in front of music and entertainment industry judges including DJs who work for WKYS FM, WPGC FM, Hot 99.5, 92Q and EverythingDMV Radio:Active, regional press and celebrity judges, with judges getting more prestigious as the showcase progresses. You'll be auditioning for a place in the Best of the Best Regional Finals which will take place on the main stage at one of the best venues in your region. The Regional Final will also include a special guest performance and will feature the best unsigned acts from your region. You will be showcasing your music live in front of music and entertainment industry judges including record label A&R from Sony Music, Warner Music Group, IMF and Universal Music, as well as national radio DJs, regional press and EverythingDMV Radio:Active, with judges getting more prestigious as the competition progresses. Audition Day Schedule: |
On the day of the audition you will be asked to prepare a performance of up to 2 minutes maximum. The auditions are closed to the public and will be in front of the professional judging panel thus allowing live talent and ability to be judged appropriately. The audition can be a song of your choice in any style or genre and can be a cover or an original. You will be required to perform accapella if performing a cover. Those with original material may use a backing track or guitar/keyboard (not supplied) to accompany them whether played by themselves or by a backing musician.
Please make sure if using a backing track that it is Track 1 on the CD. If using a backing track you will be expected to arrive with a good quality CD. We also recommend that if using a CD you test your CD on a number of players, not just your computer, to ensure it works correctly each time. Successful participants from the auditions will be asked back to perform live in the Regional Finals in front of a capacity audience and music industry judging panel. The live shows take place in the same town or city as auditions where acts compete for a place in the DMV Talent Elite Showcase First Tri-State Final. The winner of the Soloists Category will be offered a scholarship of one year at the School of Music - University of Maryland and an album recorded and produced for release on iTunes and YouTube. (Funded by local Studio).
The winner of the Vocalists & Groups Category will be offered a recording deal that means that they will be entitled to have one album produced, recorded and released on iTunes and YouTube. With the final mastered album pressed and available for purchase or download. (Funded By Local Studio). The winner of the performance & Variety Category will be offered a scholarship of one year at the The International School of Music which is a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education and introduction to Show business management agents at the end of their course. (Sponsored by local non-profit). The runners ups for each group will win a 30 Day Promotion Package form Elite Trends Studio. (Sponsored by: Elite Trends Studio) |
